UNDERWATER DAMAGES AND SALVAGE REPAIRS

With an approved Underwater WPS and the best qualified and certified team of welder divers of the region, UWS has been approved for carrying out temporary repairs by the largest IACS members in the world, as well as permanent repairs within closed control underwater environments.

The sealing of cracks, indentations or hull openings is accomplished either by fitting new plates to the damaged area, effecting cofferdam installations, or installing reinforced steel plates or cement boxes.

With the largest pumping capability in Panama, the company can refloat your vessel within hours, after the sealing operation has been completed. If the area is contaminated, our barges can store up to 5,000 tons of oily waters.

PROPELLER REPAIRS

The routes of the world are on occasion obstructed by logs, ice or floating objects that can severely damage a ship’s propellers. Using state of the art hydraulic equipment, we have set a track record for having repaired several blades, reducing cavitations and increasing vessel speeds.
